Mr. Goyal has been elected to the Board of Governors of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), at its 60th Annual General Meeting held in Singapore in early June 2004. As part of the 31-member Board Mr. Goyal will serve a two-year term until the close of IATA’s 62nd AGM in June 2006.
After finishing college he joined the travel business with the GSA for Lebanese International Airlines. From 1967 to 1974 he underwent extensive training in all facets of the travel business with several air lines. Founded JetAir Limited in May 1974 to provide Sales and Marketing representation to foreign airlines in India. Started Jet Airways 1991, first take-off in May 5, 1993.
He is married and has two children. Lives in London. Education: Bachelor of Arts / Science ( graduating in Commerce in 1967 ).
